On this show, voices of residents of public housing in DC who are fighting–like many urban poor and working class people around the country–displacement, gentrification and the loss of communities where some have lived for generations. We caught the premiere of a community theater presentation “On My Mind/In My Heart: Voices of Women in Public Housing,” which will be touring around Washington, DC in December. Also, a new video produced by the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, a movie in the works about the radical abolitionist John Brown and a report about the opening of the pricey DC Wharf project on the waterfront in Southwest DC.
